A hidden gem in Windsor Terrace

Like most of you, I am always searching for a restaurant that’s quiet and serene, where one can chill in quiet conversation with friends, undisturbed by drunken shouts, elbowings, and throbbing drum-and-base lines. If the place is located on a quiet street and comfortably furnished, all the better. Well I thought I’d found the place last weekend at Lonesome Club, a few blocks from the F stop in Windsor Terrace at 1674 Tenth Avenue. The premises, on the narrow neck of land between Prospect Park and Green-Wood Cemetery, was once a classic Brooklyn corner bar from the early 20th century that has been lovingly restored.
